Chauncey’s Timber Flooring

We are very excited to welcome our new business supporter – Chauncey Timber Flooring based in Bristol.

They have already donated into and supported our Big Give Christmas Appeal so we can start lots of work in the new year to enable people facing barriers to get involved in tree planting and enjoy their local woodlands.

They are keen to get involved with the Forest of Avon and we look forward to finding out more in the new year!

R-Tea

Tea leaves for tree leaves! R-Tea is helping our trees!

R-Tea in Keynsham does online tea ordering service specialising in hand blended loose leaf teas. They also adopt some really lovely eco friendly steps to their product cycle to make their packaging more recyclable and compostable. ‘We donate 5% of all tea sales to charity and this year we have decided to connect this with our environment ethos and donate the tea sales through our website to the Forest of Avon Trust.’

Wealth at Work

Donated £1,000 to support Forest of Avon!

WEALTH at work is a Bristol based specialist provider of financial education and guidance in the workplace supported by regulated financial advice for individuals.

We are looking forward to supporting Forest of Avon together, with staff hopefully dropping into our volunteer days or events through the year and seeing us get more work done thanks to donations like this.

Its donation is the largest single donation to support the Forest of Avon pledge so far. With support like this we can really focus on positive action and achieving our 10 Goals sooner than expected!

Yogafurie

Planting trees with Hot Yoga!

Yogafurie inspire their Yoga customers into doing Hot Yoga to plant more trees!

Yogafurie are based on Ashley Down Road, Bristol and really thrive in working with their community.

Ed, Yogafurie’s Director, came to us wanting to support local trees and woodlands by planting trees. The team designed a fantastic tree-shaped wall chart for their yoga studio to record the number of trees being planted.

Yogafurie and all of those participating in the Hot Yoga classes have already planted their first 52 trees! Their Hot Yoga classes run on renewable energy and Yogafurie are always increasing their sustainability wherever they can. We are starting to plan a nature walk with Yogafurie in the spring to say thank you and show the team and customers more about our work and the difference it makes and we would love to start up a partnership running some events combining Yoga, forest bathing and wellbeing for the summer.

Design Print Distribution Group

This leafletting business is leafing the way!

Design Print Distribution Group approached us last year and have shown a true commitment to our local trees and woodlands and overall sustainability. They have been dedicating a tree to the Forest of Avon for every long term customer they work with. They even designed their own Dedication Card to give out to their customers and have been to visit Colliters Wood so we could tell them a bit more about our work there. They are raising awareness of our work over social media and generally looking for opportunities to inspire others.

Design Print Distribution Group are working on their green credentials and guiding customers on the types of paper they use. Leaflets can be important for those who are not on the internet and for all round inclusive communications. DPDG also design and print work too.

Green Woods Furniture

Supports for over 10 years!

Green Woods Furniture’s whole ethos is around providing furniture that is sustainable and ethical. They source all of their wood sustainably and their items of furniture are hand crafted in the UK and made to measure.

Green Woods have made a Tree Dedication on behalf of over 1,300 customers!

As they say: ‘We’re playing an active role in helping to maintain and improve new woodland sites for public access and wildlife, as well as supporting the fantastic work of Forest of Avon.’

Recruiting new trees into the area!

ADLIB Recruitment is a B Corp certified business which means that it ‘meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose’ (B Corp website). They have made the Pledge and are planning to develop ways to engage with the Forest of Avon across the year.

Mesa Catering

Catering to our local trees and woodlands!

Mesa Catering is a Bristol-based catering company that is partnered with Bristol’s famous Pieminister and Thali Cafe. Mesa provides catering for many high quality events across the UK. They will be starting up events again in June. They work with a high level of sustainability and are supporting FareShare as well as the Forest of Avon Trust.

They are supporting Forest of Avon Trust with a donation from each event in 2021!

Artis Recruitment

Artis Recruitment have supported us for many years and are now signed up to support our Pledge from 2021. They have headquarters in Bristol and so have a team here who have got involved in our videos, events and Artis have been dedicating trees in the Forest of Avon for years.

‘By doing this we ensure these trees and the woodlands in which they live are cared for and managed for the long-term. In this way we hope to help reduce our own corporate carbon emissions, plus we know we will be enhancing the quality of life for people and wildlife across the South West.’
