Tree and Woodland Priorities by Landscape Character Area
Although the whole of the West of England has a role in delivering the vision for trees and woodland, there are certain areas where action is likely to be especially effective.
For example, the West of England Nature Partnership (WENP) has developed its Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), which brings togethers strategic programmes and projects that would make a significant contribution in particular areas.
The Forest of Avon Plan has identified Strategic Woodland Areas, in which a focus on woodland creation, expansion and restoration could make key contributions to the West of England’s strategic network of woodland.
