The Retreat Community Woodland at Beach, near Upton Cheyney and Bitton, is ideally located just off the two main routes of A431 or the A420, but far enough away to enjoy the quietness. This 5.18 hectare native woodland was planted in 2000 and provides attractive woodlands walks, with great views extending over Bristol to the Severn Estuary. It’s the ideal place for a relaxing hour or two, picnic and short walk. Or make it part of a longer walk across the area. Formerly managed by the Woodland Trust, Forest of Avon is now maintaining these woodland to maximise their value for nature and for people.

Forest of Avon have been managing this Woodland Trust site since 2014. It costs £10,000 a year to keep protecting and enhancing this site for people and for nature. Could your company help us cover these costs? In return we offer company activity days for you and your colleagues to get out into nature, connect and learn new skills.
