Gareth wanted to create a wildlife haven in memory of his late wife, Caroline. He created plans on how to make the most of the field next door, designing a range of habitats, and reached out to the Forest of Avon to help bring his ideas to life. The field now offers a variety of spaces to welcome wildlife, including a pond for the great crested newt, a wet wildflower meadow to attract butterflies, and areas of woodland and specimen trees, funded by the Forest of Avon, to diversify the land and create a lasting ecological legacy.
