As part of the ‘Orchard for Pollinators’ Project we are running a programme of practical Community Orchard workshops and volunteer workdays across Bristol, Bath and South Glos. With the aim of bringing orchards into active management to improve the habitat for local wildlife whilst providing training to volunteers in Orchard management.
For this session our Project Officer, Janine, will be showing the group how to look after the orchard, with tasks including weeding and mulching around the trees.
No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and PPE are provided. Please wear sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing, a packed lunch and plenty of water. Activities not suitable for under 16’s. Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities on site. Hot drinks will be provided but please bring lunch.
Please sign up via our Eventbrite page.
