Forest of Avon is on a mission to double our tree cover by 2050 and we need your help!
The Green Canopy Project is your opportunity for Parish Councils to plant one hectare of trees—boosting nature, connecting communities, and tackling the climate crisis where you live.
Why get involved?
- Support local wildlife and nature recovery
- Strengthen community ties
- Deliver on climate pledges
Forest of Avon, through the DEFRA funded Trees for Climate fund provide finance, guidance, and support—you just need to find the land and get planting. Once you meet the 1 Hectare target your parish will receive a special recognition plaque for your contribution.
It’s simple:
- Find one hectare (one site or multiple)
- Plant one hectare
- Get a beautiful plaque to display in your parish in recognition of your impact
