Join Forest of Avon at our next tree care day at Purdown Open Space. We’ll be giving the trees in this lovely Bristol green space some TLC to help them thrive.

What we’ll be doing

We’ll carry out some tree maintenance activities through the day. Our Woodland Officer, Pete, will take us through some information and tips about tree care. We’ll then spend the day:

• weeding around the base of the trees to support their growth
• pruning branches to keep the trees healthy
• mulching – laying a protective covering around the base of the trees to help them stay hydrated

You don’t need any previous experience or skills. We’ll take you through everything when you arrive and we’ll be on hand to support you throughout the day. Health and safety will be covered at the start of the session.
