Join our community orchard care day at Yate Common.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be helping to prune the young fruit trees at this lovely community orchard in Yate. This is a key part of taking care of the orchard during the winter months. Our Orchardist Janine will take you through practical techniques in fruit tree pruning using a variety of tools including hand saws and pole pruners. The day will consist of a training session in the morning and then an afternoon of practicing the techniques.
