About Pucklechurch
Pucklechurch Wood is the largest new woodland to be created on South Gloucestershire Council land. Over two years we will plant 30 hectares of trees to increase tree canopy cover, restore nature and build community resilience – helping to reach our commitment to double tree canopy cover by 2050.
Getting there
The car park is located just south of the M4 bridge. Please use the following What3Words location to find us: What3words:///buyers.improving.jars
What to bring and wear
No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and gloves are provided. Please bring sturdy footwear and wear long sleeves and trousers. We need to be mindful of ticks in the long grass. Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
What you’ll be doing
Now the summer is here, regular tree-care is needed to improve the survival rates of the new trees. You’ll be helping with clearing the tubes of any long grass that’s smothering the saplings and re-tying or replacing broken supports.
Toilets
There are no toilet facilities on this site.
