DESCRIPTION:Spend a day volunteering outside in one of Bristol’s beautiful community orchards. Join our Orchardist Janine to learn the key principles of summer pruning and orchard care\, and help us keep the trees healthy through the summer. \nWe’ll be: \n\ndoing summer pruning for tree health and structure\nweeding around the base of the trees to support their growth\nmulching – laying a protective covering around the base of the trees to help them stay hydrated\nrepairing tree guards\n\nYou don’t need any previous experience or skills. We’ll take you through everything when you arrive and we’ll be on hand to support you throughout the day.
